The Öko-Forrás Foundation was established in 2007 to promote the maintenance of agro-biodiversity. At the moment they havemore than 150 members countrywide, from which about 20 takes part of the community seed bank. Their activities are concentrated in two main areas: in situ preservation of old Hungarian vegetable and fruit varieties and educational activities, with experts from different fields sharing their knowledge and experience in agro-biodiversity maintainance. They have each month a training and during the summer a thematic camp. These activies are open, everybody is welcome who want to join the projects.
